How to download Microsoft 365 on a Windows Device
1. Go to https://portal.office.com/Account. Enter your CUNYfirst username then click Next
Note: Your CUNYfirst username is always Firstname.Lastname## followed by @login.cuny.edu, where ## is the last 2 digits of your CUNY EMPLID number.
For Example: Jane.Doe00@login.cuny.edu.
2. You will be redirected to the CUNYfirst login page. Enter your CUNYfirst username and password then click Log in.
Note: Your CUNYfirst username is always your FirstName.LastName##, where ## is the last 2 digits of your CUNY EMPLID number.
3. Verify your Microsoft 365 MFA
Note: If you receive a prompt for "Let's Keep Your Account Secure", you have not setup Microsoft 365 MFA. Please follow this article to set it up: How to Access QC Email and Setup Microsoft 365 MFA
4. Click on Install Office
5. The OfficeSetup executable file will download, once the download is complete, open the file to start the installation process.
You will be prompted "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?", select Yes to continue.
6. Microsoft 365 will begin to download:
7. Once Microsoft 365 is installed, the message below will appear, click Close to complete the installation:
8. To activate Microsoft 365, open any application, like Word. Sign in with your CUNYfirst account used at the beginning of this KB article. Once signed in, Microsoft 365 will be activated.
