How to Access QC Email and Setup Microsoft 365 Multi-Factor Authentication(MFA)
1. Go to outlook.office.com. Enter your CUNYfirst username then click Next

Note: Your CUNYfirst username is always Firstname.Lastname## followed by @login.cuny.edu, where ## is the last 2 digits of your CUNY EMPLID number.
For Example: Jane.Doe00@login.cuny.edu.
2. You will be redirected to the CUNYfirst login page. Enter your CUNYfirst username and password then click Log in.

Note: Your CUNYfirst username is always your FirstName.LastName##, where ## is the last 2 digits of your CUNY EMPLID number.
3. You will be prompt to secure your account, click on Next

4. Click on the appropriate link to install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device first. Once the app is installed click Next
Note: Google Play is for Android devices. AppStore is for Apple devices.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to setup your account in the Microsoft Authenticator app, click Next when ready.

Note: If your mobile device prompts for camera access during this step, please click on Allow.
6. A QR code is presented on your screen. Scan it with your Microsoft Authenticator app from the previous step then click Next

7. A push notification will be sent to your device prompting to enter a number. Enter the same number you see on your screen on the Microsoft Authenticator app prompt and click Yes

8. Your authentication method has been successfully added. Click on Done and your QC email will load.


Note: You may see a prompt asking to Stay signed in. Choose Yes if you are using your own personal device. Choose No if the device you are using is being shared with other users.
Congrats, you have successfully signed into your QC email account and setup M365 MFA.
