Staff/Faculty Retiree Qcard Instructions

Retiree QCard


Retired Faculty and Staff who have been officially processed as a Retired member of the QC Community are eligible to receive a Retiree QCard.


The Retiree QCard will allow access to the campus Libraries (Rosenthal and Music Library) only.

To request a Retiree QCard, please send the QCard office an email (qcard@qc.cuny.edu) with the Subject Line: Retiree QCard, please include your Full Name and EMPLID in the email.

Accessing the Library

Upon entering the campus Rosenthal Library, please show the Retiree QCard to the Public Safety Officer to gain entry.

Borrowing from the Library

Present the Retiree QCard at the Rosenthal Library’s 3rd floor circulation desk to have it activated for borrowing.

Returning to work at QC after Retirement

If you are returning to work for QC in any capacity after you have received an Retiree QCard, you would need to return the Retiree QCard ID back to the QCard office and have a Staff/Faculty QCard reissued to you.

Lost/Stolen Retiree QCard

A replacement Retiree QCard would cost $10.

Payment for replacement Retiree QCard would be cash only (exact change) and this would need to be processed during the QCard office business hours: Monday – Thursday from 9AM – 4PM.

If your card was stolen and you provide us with a copy of the police report, the $10 replacement fee will be waived.
