Change Email and Contact Info in Brightspace as a Student
To Change your Email in Brightspace you will need to change your CUNYfirst email (preferred)
*Please note that ONLY CUNY Issued emails will flow properly. Please avoid using personal email addresses to ensure you get email notifications.

While you will not see it on Brightspace, the preferred email is where all communications will flow to.
To change your CUNY Login account management email address…
Navigate to the CUNYfirst Homepage: https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu
Enter your CUNYfirst login credentials (firstname.lastnameNN@LOGIN.CUNY.EDU where NN are the last two digits of your EMPLID)
Click Log in

Click on Enter OTP code device:
Note: If you do not see this prompt skip to next step.

Enter the OTP code from your Microsoft Authenticator app and click verify:

Once verified, the CUNYfirst website will load.
Note: If you receive a CUNY Login Multi-Factor Authentication Error page during the login process, your CUNY Login MFA is not setup, please follow this article to set it up: Setting Up CUNY Login MFA
From the Homepage click Student Center

From Student Center click on Profile
Profile
From the Profile page, click on Contact Details.
If your campus email address is not listed, click the plus (+) sign to add it.
If it’s listed, double-click on it, select the Preferred check box, and click Save.
