What accounts should I have as a Student?

As a student you'll need to have a(n): 


    1. CUNYfirst Account  


    2. Office 365 Account 


    3. CAMS Account - QC Username

What is my school email?

Your login name for your Office 365 email is your CUNYfirst Username followed by "@Qmail.cuny.edu"     

 
 

                                         Example:John.Doe25@qmail.cuny.edu 

 
 

Your password is your CUNYfirst password. 


NOTE: If your CUNYfirst password contains a "Special" Character (!, @, #, $, %, etc...), Microsoft Office 365 does not like passwords containing these special characters and you will not be able to sign in. 


Please reset your CUNYfirst password and create a password with just letters and numbers.

How do I access my Google Classroom?

You need to do two things in order to get access to your Google Classroom: 

 

    1. Activate your CAMS account.     

 

  •  

 

    2. Activate your QMail account.  

 

 


Your Google access will be provisioned in 2-3 business days after the last account has been activated.

Can I access my email if I'm not currently registered for classes? 

Yes. Your student email account will remain active even if you are no longer a registered student (e.g. you graduate, or move to another school). You will also continue to have access to the online software for Office 365. However, the desktop license to download Office 365 won't be available if you are no longer a registered student.

Is wireless network access available on campus?

Yes, Wi-fi access is available on campus. 




To use QWIFI with your QC Username: 

1.  On your device wireless networks list and select QWIFI to connect. 

2.  Open a web browser (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari) to see this login page.

3.   If the login screen does not load enter https://qc.cuny.edu in the address box. 

 4.   The Queens College login screen will appear.  
5.   Log-in using your QC Username (except guests, who should follow QWIFI guest instructions below).

Does ITS provide technical support for personal (home) computers?

No. ITS (Information Technology Services) provides support for QC owned computers with QC asset tags only. If you need assistance with a personal computer, please contact your PC manufacturer or your software vendor.

How do I get a QCard?


A QC student's Official Identification Card, also known as their QCards are issued and distributed by appointment only. Photos must be submitted online and approved by ITS.

1) To obtain a QCard, you must first have a CAMS (College Account Management System) account. 

 

2) After activating your CAMS account, you can submit your photo online after reviewing photo guidelines. 


3) Once you submit a photo, the Qcard Office will verify your profile information to ensure it matches the records. Then you will receive an email when the photo is approved. If campus availability allows it, Qcard distribution and pick up details would be provided*
