Using SUMIFS Functions

Use SUMIFS to test multiple conditions and return a value based on those conditions. For example, you could use SUMIFS to sum the number of a products sold by a certain salesperson.

Syntax

SUMIFS(sum_range, criteria_range1, criteria1, [criteria_range2, criteria2], ...)

For this example, we're showing how many bananas Tom sold.

Steps:

1. Select a cell.

2. Type equal sign SUMIFS, open parenthesis.

3. Select the sum range and add a comma.

4. select the first range and add a comma.

5. Select criteria and add a comma.Criteria

6. Select the second range.

7. Select criteria and add a right parenthesis.
