Create a blank document
1. Open Word. Or, if Word is already open, select File.

2. Select New, then select Blank document.

2. Select text to format and choose font options on the Home tab: Bold , Italic , Bullets , and more.

Search for a template
1. Open Word. Or, if Word is already open, select File > New.
2. In the Search for online templates box, enter a search word like resume, letter, or invoice.
