Microsoft Teams Learning Tool for Bb
Blackboard users at CUNY can now create Team meetings within Blackboard using their Office 365 accounts for free. Teams meetings can be used to create, schedule, and launch their online lessons from within Blackboard.
1. Navigate to https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu select Blackboard
2. Log in with your CUNYfirst credentials: firstname.lastname02@login.cuny.edu(2 last digits of your Emplid)
3. After logging into Bb, you will see the name of your course please select it.
4. Then select Tools on the left hand side of the menu
5. The Tools dialog box will open, scroll down on the left hand side and click on Microsoft Teams
6. Click to Allow to Authorize Bb Learn
7. Login with your CUNYfirst credentials: firstname.lastname02@login.cuny.edu(2 last digits of your Emplid)
8. Allow pop ups in your browser
9. Click on Allow Pop Ups for Blackboard Hosted Environment
10. Log into Microsoft with your CUNYfirst credentials: firstname.lastname02@login.cuny.edu(2 last digits of your Emplid)
11. After logging click Accept on the Permissions Requested page
12. After click on Accept, click on Create a Meeting Link for your meeting in Teams
13. Follow the steps below to create a meeting in Teams
14. You can either Join the Microsoft Teams Meeting (If it is time for the meeting) or you can Add it to your Calendar to join at a later time
15. After clicking Add to Calendar it shows the link was copied to your clipboard and the meeting was added to the calendar.
16. Navigate to Tools and click on it
17. Scroll down and select the Calendar to open
18 a. Select the event from the calendar and open it.
b.Copy and paste the URL in the Event Description in a new browser tab
19 a. If you do not have the Teams App please click on the "Get the Teams App", follow the instructions to install the Teams App to your computer.
b. If you have Teams installed on your computer, please click "Launch it Now" for it to open
20. In the Launch Application dialog box select Microsoft Teams to Open Link for it to open.
21. Click on Join Now to join the meeting
22. If you want to turn off and on the camera click on the camera button below. If the camera is on you will see yourself on the screen.
23. Click on Mute to silence the microphone. When you are ready to talk click on the microphone to remove the mute feature.
24. Click on Share to share your screen with others in the meeting with you.
25. Click on Options allows one to access the features below:
26. Click on Chat to start a conversation with people in the Meeting
27. Click to show Participants in the meeting
28. (1) Shows the participants in the chat
(2) You can invite someone to the chat by their CUNYfirst Username
29. Click the hang up icon to leave the meeting, and it automatically disconnects the meeting.
