What To Do At Work.
- Before you can remote into your desktop computer at work you must prepare your work computer(s).
- In the browser of your choice, go to the following link: https://bit.ly/QCPWRWIN. This will immediately send you to the Microsoft Support website on "How to adjust power and sleep settings in Windows".
Windows 11
- Click on Open "Power & Sleep settings"

- Pop up will appear asking if you want to "Open Settings?" Click the Open Settings Button

- The System > Power menu window should open up, select Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts option

- Make sure the following options are set to Never
- Make my device sleep after -> Never
- Make my device hibernate after -> Never

- In the browser of your choice, go to the following link: http://bit.ly/QCRMTWIN. This will immediately send you to the Microsoft Support Website on “How to use Remote Desktop”.

- Click on the button labelled “Enable Remote Desktop”.

Pop up will appear asking if you want to "Open Settings?" Click the Open Settings Button

- The Settings window will appear with the Remote Desktop settings page already opened. If the “Enable Remote Desktop” toggle is set to Off, click it to set it to On.

- Windows will ask you to confirm if are sure that you would like to Enable Remote Desktop. Click the Confirm button.

Take a note of the name of the PC. You’ll need it when you get home.

You’re all done. Lock or Sign Out of your computer. DO NOT shut your computer down.
